Member Obligations

The Melbourne Figure Skating Club (MFSC) is governed by the Victorian Model Rules for an Incorporated Association (the Rules), the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (the Act) and the Associations Incorporation Reform Regulations 2012 (the Regulations). The legislation is administered by Consumer Affairs Victoria.

Members of the Melbourne Figure Skating Club are also bound by the codes and policies of Ice Skating Victoria (ISV), Ice Skating Australia (ISA) and the International Skating Union (ISU). Committee Meetings

The MFSC Committee meets a minimum of four times per year in accordance with the Rules. Meetings are conducted at the O’Brien Icehouse on dates determined by the Committee from time to time. Financial members of MFSC are provided with minutes of these meetings on request.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Melbourne Figure Skating Club is conducted each year at the O’Brien Icehouse. The formal AGM notice, annual financial statements and minutes of the previous AGM will be provided directly to financial members 14 days prior.

At the AGM, all Committee positions are declared vacant and elections are held for all positions in accordance with the Rules. Nominations for Committee positions are taken at the AGM.
