MFSC Membership

The Melbourne Figure Skating Club (MFSC) offers both competitive and social memberships. The membership period is from 1 January to 31 December each year. Applications can be completed online below.

Important Information

  • For competitive skaters, membership of both Ice Skating Victoria (ISV) and MFSC is required to compete at any judged event or take Ice Skating Australia (ISA) tests. Membership is also available to social and non-competitive skaters and their families. MFSC non-competitive membership is required to take part in our many non-judged events and exhibitions.

  • Skating: Athletes competing, training or testing in or for Victoria

    Aussie Skate: Skaters participating in the Aussie Skate program

    Coaches and Officials: APSA Accredited members who no longer compete

    Supporter: Those who support ISV but do not actively skate(non voting rights)

    Platinum Supporter: Supporters who may skate recreationally

    Administrator: Non skaters who in the previous 12 months have actively been involved in an ISV role

  • Ice Skating Australia insurance cover is included as part of your ISV membership. Your cover applies while participating in club activities. This includes, training, coaching, travelling to and from, coordinating ice skating events and organised social and fundraising activities. Skater Pathways

  • Aussie Skate

    If you are new to skating - this is the place o start, learn all the basics of skating - regardless of which pathway your want to take!

  • IJS - Singles

    After completing Aussie Skate School, skaters move into the International Judging System - IJS for short. Spins, footwork, theatrics and jumps await!

  • IJS - Pairs

    Big lifts and jumps are waiting with Pairs Ice Skating. In this modality couples work in unison through spins, footwork, theatrics and jumps.

  • IJS Dance - Pairs

    All the romance of ballroom dancing and the elegance of figure skating - pairs ice dancing is graceful, technical and incredibly elegant!

  • IJS Dance - Solo

    NEW modality to the Ice Skating Family, solo ice dance made it’s foray into Australia in 2024.

  • Synchonised

    Working as a team, synchronised skating takes patience and tenacity. This is a true team sport on ice.
